/01 The Label

An independent built for the next era of music.

Bangz is an independent label where human artistry and AI collaborate to create emotionally resonant music in a new and different way. The team is transforming every step of the music-making journey — creation, production, distribution, promotion and monetization — across traditional, new, and newly-blended genres. “Human Inspired, AI Empowered.”

With 18 artists in active development, the label needed a marketing partner that could deliver consistent rollouts at scale — without losing the per-artist nuance each release deserves. TMMA Black runs the Spotify-led promotion programme as a continuous cycle: fresh briefs each cycle, recurring catalog work between drops, and a single accountable partner across the entire roster.

/02 The Brief

A continuous DSP programme — not one-off promo.

The brief from Bangz was clear: each release deserves campaign-grade attention, but one-off promotional bursts were the wrong shape for a roster of 20+ active artists. We architected an always-on cycle, focused on a single channel where the catalog could compound: Spotify.

Spend was deployed across Spotify Playlisting and Spotify Ads, sequenced over multiple quarters. Reporting rolled up at the label level, while attribution stayed clean per artist so the team could evaluate which artists and songs compounded fastest.

/03 The Work

Two pillars, always running.

01

Spotify Playlisting

Always-on editorial outreach and algorithmic positioning across the entire Bangz catalog. Metadata stewardship, pitch architecture, and save-velocity tuning feed Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Autoplay surfaces continuously — not just at release moments.

  • /aEditorial pitches across global & territory desks
  • /bAlgorithmic positioning — Discover Weekly, Release Radar, Autoplay
  • /cMetadata stewardship & pre-save architecture
  • /dIndependent curator network across multi-genre verticals
02

Spotify Ads

Spotify Ads Studio campaigns timed to priority releases and recurring catalog work. Similar-artist targeting, geo modelling and audio-first creatives sequenced inside the same calendar as the playlisting cycles, so paid accelerates editorial — not the other way around.

  • /aAudience clusters built from similar-artist signals
  • /bGeo-tier budget allocation by save velocity
  • /cAudio-first creatives with a track-led narrative
  • /dContinuous test & learn against playlisting baseline

/05 Cycle

How a Bangz campaign cycle moves.

  1. Brief

    Cycle priority lock

Bangz selects the priority artists and releases for the cycle. TMMA Black audits each track, then sets the playlisting/Ads budget split per artist.

  2. Pre · Push

    DSP groundwork

Pre-save links, metadata refresh, editorial pitches across Spotify. Catalog work runs in parallel for the rest of the roster.

  3. Drop

    Release week

Spotify Ads live in Ads Studio — similar-artist targeting, geo modelling, audio-first creatives. Editorial placements publish. Real-time creative iteration on best-performing assets.

  4. Tail

    Compound & learn

Algorithmic placements (Discover Weekly, Release Radar, Autoplay) take over. Reporting rolls up label-wide; artist-level attribution stays clean.

  5. Renewal

    Next cycle

Cycle review with the Bangz team. Next cycle’s priorities locked. Catalog learnings applied to the rolling programme — the partnership keeps running.
